Park by the Portášky chairlift, avoid the queues and set out for Sněžka along the traditional mountain porters' route via Růžohorky.

Take the traditional mountain porters’ route to the highest mountain in the Czech Republic:
* Ride the Portášky chairlift from Velká Úpa and continue on foot via Růžohorky to Sněžka (approx. 1.5 hours).
* The Portášky chairlift takes you uphill without long waiting times. Check the chairlift timetable HERE
* Parking is available directly next to the lower station of the Portášky chairlift in Velká Úpa at car park P5.
Near the top station you will find the large free Pecka Playground for children.
From Portášky you can ride mountain scooters down into the valley and enjoy beautiful views and fresh mountain air. Or choose one of the hiking trails exploring the whole area. Detailed route descriptions, maps and elevation profiles can be found HERE.
