World Ski Awards was established in 2013 to recognise the world's best ski resorts, mountain hotels and brands connected to winter tourism. Every year, hundreds of thousands of people from around the world take part in the voting, along with professionals from the ski industry, tourism, media and mountain hospitality sector.

Around 400 million ski visits take place every year worldwide across more than 2,500 ski resorts.

The nominees regularly include some of the world's most famous mountain destinations, such as Val Thorens, Verbier, Kitzbühel, St. Moritz, Cortina d'Ampezzo, Laax, Dolomiti Val Gardena and Deer Valley.

World Ski Awards is considered one of the most important indicators of quality in winter tourism and is a sister organisation of the renowned World Travel Awards.
