The Tree Top Walk

The Tree Top Walk in the Krkonoše Mountains with its unique underground cave will offer you not only a pleasant walk and plenty of interesting information but also breathtaking views of the beautiful landscape of the Krkonoše National Park. The trail, culminating in a 45-meter-high lookout tower, is located on the outskirts of Janské Lázně.

The easiest way to connect with SkiResort ČERNÁ HORA - PEC is via cable car. It will take you from Janské Lázně directly to the top of Černá hora. Conversely, if you start at Černá hora, you can descend to Janské Lázně and directly to the Tree Top Trail on rented mountain scooters from SkiResort Live.

On the route of the Trail, which is one and a half kilometers long, you will journey from the roots to the crowns of the trees. Thanks to the unique underground exhibition, you will be able to study the micro-world of the soil, where, for example, you will learn what the spindle looks like, which only lives in the Krkonoše Mountains, or the bark beetle, which is currently afflicting the forests of the Czech Republic. On the way to the top, you will encounter 40 information stops with peepholes, where you will read interesting facts about the flora and fauna of the local forests.
