Magical Ride wins the competition for the most beautiful illumination in Pec

In the first half of December, the public chose the most beautiful Christmas lights in Pec pod Sněžkou. Nine buildings entered the competition, organized by the Pec pod Sněžkou Tourism Association, including the Relaxpark toboggan run, which this year was newly illuminated with thousands of lights. These are not only along the entire 900-meter route, but also around the toboggan run in the Relaxpark area in the form of 2D and 3D installations of Krkonoše animals and fairy-tale characters

„Magical Ride, as we call the illuminated toboggan run, is a new feature of the ČERNÁ HORA – PEC SkiResort for the current winter season. We are glad that the magical transformation of the toboggan run is popular with visitors to Pec pod Sněžkou. It is possible to set off on the Magical Ride after dark every day throughout the winter season. Moreover, thanks to the transparent covers that we install if necessary, it is also in operation in snow or rain,” explains Jakub Janda, executive director of the ČERNÁ HORA – PEC SkiResort. 

Morning skiing, evening tobogganing

A visit to the toboggan run, perhaps even with a sweet treat in the form of a pancake from the 1st Krkonoše pancake shop CrêPec, is an attractive program after skiing, during winter stays or spring break. "The free CITY ski bus line stops right next to the toboggan run, which runs daily around Pec and people can use it when traveling from parking lots, guesthouses and hotels to the slopes, or even to move from the slopes to the toboggan run," adds Jakub Janda.

Magical Ride won the competition among large objects. Fans of Pec pod Sněžkou voted for the best-lit objects on the city's social networks. In other categories, they also appreciated Chata Severka and the lighting of the Happy Hill Sport rental shop.

The Relaxpark toboggan run is open daily. Every Friday and Saturday until 6 p.m., other days until 4 p.m. From December 25, it will be in operation daily until 7 p.m.
