46 km of slopes and night skiing 3 times a week
In the eastern Giant Mountains, up to 50 cm of snow has fallen in recent days, so the current skiing conditions are excellent and we managed to open more slopes over the weekend. Currently, almost 46 km of slopes out of 50 km are open in the ČERNÁ HORA - PEC SkiResort, with 60 to 100 cm of snow on them. All ski bus lines and the SkiTour ski crossing are in operation.
About 80 kilometers of cross-country trails have been groomed on the ridges, mainly on Černá and Světlá hora, above Pec pod Sněžkou, above Velká Úpa and Černý Důl.
In the Černá hora resort, 17.2 out of 17.5 km of slopes are open. A toboggan zone has been prepared for children between the Sporty slopes on Černá hora. They can thus comfortably combine skiing with this winter fun. In the following week, you can go to the Černá hora resort on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday for evening skiing on Protěž, where the longest illuminated slope in the Czech Republic is served by a chairlift.
In Pec pod Sněžkou, 12.2 out of 13.8 km of slopes are open. On Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, you can also ski here after dark on the Javor slope. In the evening, the SkiResort Live equipment rental is newly opened under Javor, and you can also go tobogganing by the illuminated moving carpet in the LIVE park Javor.
In Velká Úpa, all 2.4 km of slopes are skiable, the LIVE park right next to the lower station of the chairlift is in operation daily. On Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, you can ski here after dark on the Modřín slope.
In Černý Důl, parking is free right next to the slopes. There are more than 6 km of wide slopes served by chairlifts. Beginners can also use the large LIVE learning park with a moving carpet and a children's lift. You can book a ski lesson with SkiResort Live online in advance and choose your preferred time in the calendar.
Every day until 7 p.m., the Relaxpark toboggan run is open in Pec pod Sněžkou, which after dark turns into an illuminated Magic Ride with a number of 2D and 3D models of animals and fairy-tale characters, which are also illuminated. All this adds a magical atmosphere to the ride on the 900-meter-long toboggan run. We add 1 free ride to tickets purchased online for 6 and 10 rides.
For hikers, we recommend the Portášky chairlift in Velká Úpa for the ascent to the ridges, which has its upper station at an altitude of 1062 meters above sea level. You will reach the ridges without waiting, enjoy beautiful views along the way and from the upper station it is only a short distance to Růžohorky, or an interesting route to Pec.
