Krkonoše from the Height of Ancient Giants

Some of the most beautiful landscapes of the Krkonoše Mountains can be admired from a unique perspective – up to 45 metres above the ground. This is the height of the observation tower at the Treetop Walk Krkonoše, whose nearly 900-metre-long pathway winds through the crowns of trees up to 150 years old at the foot of Černá hora near Janské Lázně.

The attraction offers much more than spectacular views. The site also includes an educational trail introducing visitors to the life of the mountain forest both above and below the ground. In cooperation with the Krkonoše National Park Administration, a unique underground exhibition has been created beneath the tower, featuring interactive displays that reveal the fascinating world hidden beneath the forest floor.

The main attraction remains the panoramic views of the Krkonoše Mountains, the impressive architecture of the structure and the opportunity to experience mountain nature from a completely different angle. Families with children will also find plenty to enjoy. The area includes Emil’s Forest World playground as well as the Bear Trail and a modern bear enclosure, where visitors can observe brown bears in an environment inspired by their natural habitat.

To ensure a comfortable visit, the site offers spacious parking facilities, a restaurant and visitor amenities. The Treetop Walk can easily be combined with a gondola ride to the summit of Černá hora, a visit to the Černohorské Peat Bog or a mountain scooter ride back to Janské Lázně.

The Treetop Walk Krkonoše is open all year round and offers a unique way to discover the mountains – from the tops of ancient trees to the hidden world beneath the ground.
