Biking route of three lifts

Biking route of 3 lifts is here to show you eastern Giant Mountains from different point of view. MTB route is always from the top station to the bottom station of the other cable car. You can try the cable car Černohorský Express from Janské Lázně to Černá hora, chairlifts Hnědý vrch in Pec and Portášky in Velká Úpa in one day. Explore the most beautiful places as well as not crowded places in the Giant Mountains.

1. part of trail: Hnědý vrch – Janské Lázně 

From the top station of the chair lift "Hnědý vrch" take the MTB route No. 1B to „Lesní bouda“ chalet. On the crossroads „Pod Lesní boudou“ ride straight on to „Hrnčířské Boudy“ chalets.  Carry on next by „Mír“ and „Náchodská“ chalet  until „Lučiny“ where „Pražská bouda“ chalet is. Pass the „Kolínská bouda“ chalet and on the crossroads „Pod Kolínskou boudou“ turn right. After 400 meters at the crossroads „Luční svážnice“ turn left and take a marked cycle path MTB No.  19B to „Zrcadlovky“ chalets. After about 1 km from „Zrcadlovky“ chalets  join Route MTB No. 19A (Lobkovic road) that takes you to „Hoffmanovy Boudy“. From there you can take the main the road no. 22 to Janske Lázně, or paved road (green marked route) leading parallel to the main road. Take the cable car “Černohorský Express” up.

Total length is 15 km.

2. part of trail: Černá hora - Velká Úpa

From the top station of cable car ČERNOHORSKÝ EXPRESS follow the bike route MTB Nr. 19A around “Sokolská” and “Černá bouda” chalet. On the crossroads about 500 meters bellow the “Černá bouda” chalet turn right and join the marked MTB route No. 1B, it takes you to „Velké Pardubické Boudy“  and „Krausovy Boudy” chalets. Here turn slightly left at MTB rout No. 23 and follow this route to “Vlašské Boudy“ chalet. At the crossroads “Pod Vlašskými Boudami” go straight and continue until the first sharp right U turn where you need to turn left. After a flat part in the length of 1 km, from the asphalt road, turn right onto the paved road and a ride down the hill to “Velká Úpa”. From there take the 3-man chairlift “Portášky” up.

Total length is 10.5 km.

3. part of trail: Portášky - Pec pod Sněžkou

From the top station of Portášky chairlift take the MTB No. 1F to “Janovy Boudy” chalets to “Jana” chalet. Here turn right and follow the MTB route No. 1A. It takes you under the Portášky chairlift, through the „Zadní Výsluní“ and „Šimonova stráň“ slope to Pec pod Sněžkou to the “Hospoda na Peci” restaurant. Follow the yellow-marked hiking route around the bus station and “Veselý výlet” Info Centre, slightly up the hill to the lift Javor or to “Hnědý vrch” chairlift 

Total length is 8.5 km.
