World Masters Mountain Running Championships
What can you look forward to?
Janské Lázně will host the 2026 World Masters Mountain Running Championships. Competitors from all over the world will come to the Krkonoše Mountains to take on demanding mountain courses with elevation gains of up to 1,332 metres. Expect three days full of sporting atmosphere, fans, concerts, medal ceremonies and an accompanying program directly on the spa colonnade in Janské Lázně.

26–28 June 2026

The program will feature uphill, long distance and up/downhill races in categories W/M 35 to W/M 75. Visitors can also enjoy concerts, the official opening ceremony, the athletes’ parade and the closing ceremony including the handover of the hosting flag for the 2027 championships.
What awaits you?
The championships will include several disciplines:
• Uphill race W/M
7.79 km / elevation gain 851 m
• Long distance race W/M
22.17 km / elevation gain 1,332 m
• Up/Downhill race W/M
8.95 km / elevation gain 594 m
Categories W/M 35, 40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 65, 70 and 75 will compete.
In each category, a world champion will be crowned and the top three athletes will receive medals.
The event will also feature the “Be FIT!” 1 km race, concerts by Rock and Pops Úpice, Small Band TK Úpice and Košta a spol, as well as evening entertainment programs.
How much does it cost?
Admission to the accompanying program is free for spectators.
Competitors can register online until 24 May 2026 via the organizer’s registration form.
The race office and medical service will be located at the Town Hall in Janské Lázně.
