SkiResort ČERNÁ HORA – PEC Wins the Prestigious World Ski Award 2025
The largest Czech ski area, SkiResort ČERNÁ HORA – PEC, has received the prestigious international World Ski Award 2025 in the category Best Ski Resort – Czech Republic.
The title is awarded annually by the World Ski Awards organization, which recognizes global leaders in the ski industry and sets quality standards for ski tourism worldwide.
“This is an enormous recognition of the work of our entire team and everyone involved in the operation and development of SkiResort ČERNÁ HORA – PEC. Each year, we invest in infrastructure and strive to improve the quality of our services for skiers, families, and non-skiers alike. We’re entering the new season with record investments exceeding CZK 200 million. To stand alongside world-renowned names such as Kitzbühel or Val Thorens is a tremendous honor for us,” says Jakub Janda, Executive Director of SkiResort ČERNÁ HORA – PEC.
The World Ski Awards are part of the sister program World Travel Awards, aimed at raising standards within the ski industry. Winners are chosen primarily by public votes from skiers and by industry professionals from around the world.
With this year’s victory, SkiResort ČERNÁ HORA – PEC takes over the symbolic crown from skiarea Špindlerův Mlýn, which had won the category in previous years.
SkiResort ČERNÁ HORA – PEC connects five mountain areas in the Krkonoše region – Černá hora, Pec pod Sněžkou, Černý Důl, Velká Úpa, and Svoboda nad Úpou – offering over 50 km of slopes on a single ski pass.
If snow conditions allow, the season is planned to start on Černá hora on November 28, 2025, and in Pec pod Sněžkou on December 6, 2025.
